Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 21 May 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of taxi and transport services provided by Taxi Book Melbourne ("we", "us", "our") and your use of our website at taxibookmelbourne.com.au. By making a booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

  • "Service" means taxi, transport, and related services provided by Taxi Book Melbourne.
  • "Booking" means a confirmed reservation for a trip with us.
  • "Passenger" means any person travelling in a vehicle provided by us.
  • "Driver" means a Commercial Passenger Vehicle (CPV) licensed driver engaged by us.
  • "Fare" means the fixed price quoted and agreed at the time of booking.

2. Bookings and Confirmations

2.1 A booking is confirmed only when we provide you with a verbal, WhatsApp, email, or written confirmation. Submission of a quote request or contact form does not constitute a confirmed booking.

2.2 We will make every effort to confirm your booking as quickly as possible. For urgent or same-day requests, we recommend calling us directly on +61 452 620 551.

2.3 You are responsible for providing accurate pickup and drop-off details, including any access instructions or special requirements, at the time of booking. We are not liable for delays or additional costs arising from inaccurate information.

2.4 Bookings made on behalf of a third party (e.g. a corporate account holder booking for a client) are subject to the same Terms, and the person making the booking accepts responsibility for ensuring the passenger is aware of and agrees to these Terms.

3. Fares and Payment

3.1 All fares are fixed and quoted at the time of booking. The agreed fare is the total amount payable — we do not apply surge pricing, additional tolls (unless agreed in advance), or hidden fees.

3.2 Tolls, airport fees, or parking charges that are unavoidable and not included in the quoted fare will be communicated to you in advance wherever possible. Where these arise unexpectedly during a trip, they will be added to the final fare at cost.

3.3 We accept the following payment methods: cash, credit and debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Cabcharge, MPTP (M40 concession card), NDIS plan-managed and self-managed funding, TAC and WorkSafe funded transport, and corporate account invoicing. The available payment methods for your booking will be confirmed at the time of booking.

3.4 Payment is due at the end of the trip unless alternative arrangements (such as corporate invoicing or NDIS claiming) have been agreed in advance.

3.5 For corporate account holders, invoices are issued monthly and are payable within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Cancellations and Changes

4.1 Standard bookings: We require at least 2 hours notice to cancel or modify a confirmed booking without incurring a fee.

4.2 Airport pickups: We require at least 4 hours notice to cancel or modify an airport pickup booking without incurring a fee.

4.3 Cancellations made with less than the required notice period may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed fare.

4.4 If you cancel a booking less than 1 hour before the scheduled pickup time, or if a driver arrives at the confirmed pickup location and is unable to locate or contact the passenger after a reasonable wait, the full fare may be charged.

4.5 We reserve the right to cancel a booking if circumstances beyond our control (such as severe weather, road closures, or a vehicle breakdown) make it impossible to fulfil the booking. In such cases, we will notify you as early as possible and issue a full refund of any prepaid amount.

5. Driver Conduct and Passenger Obligations

5.1 Our drivers are CPV-licensed, police-checked, and required to conduct themselves professionally at all times. If you have a concern about a driver's conduct, please contact us immediately.

5.2 Passengers must behave in a safe, respectful, and lawful manner. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a trip without refund if a passenger:

  • Is verbally or physically abusive to the driver
  • Is intoxicated to a degree that poses a risk to the driver or vehicle
  • Engages in any illegal activity in the vehicle
  • Causes or threatens to cause damage to the vehicle

5.3 Passengers must wear seatbelts at all times. It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure children under the age of 7 are in an approved child restraint. We can provide a child seat upon prior request — please advise us at the time of booking.

5.4 Smoking, vaping, and the consumption of alcohol are not permitted in our vehicles.

5.5 Passengers are responsible for any damage to a vehicle caused by their actions (including that of accompanying passengers). The cost of cleaning or repair arising from passenger actions will be charged to the responsible party.

6. Waiting Time and Delays

6.1 For airport arrivals, we include up to 45 minutes of complimentary wait time from the scheduled landing time of your flight. Beyond 45 minutes, a waiting charge may apply.

6.2 For all other bookings, drivers will wait up to 10 minutes from the confirmed pickup time. If the passenger has not made contact within that time, the driver may leave and the full fare may be charged.

6.3 For airport transfers, we monitor your flight in real time. If your flight is delayed, your driver's arrival will be adjusted at no additional charge to you.

7. Lost Property

7.1 We are not responsible for personal belongings left in our vehicles. If you believe you have left an item in a vehicle, please contact us as soon as possible and we will make reasonable efforts to assist with its recovery.

7.2 Found items are held for up to 30 days. Unclaimed items may be disposed of or donated to charity after this period.

8. NDIS, TAC, and WorkSafe Transport

8.1 We provide transport services to NDIS participants, TAC clients, and WorkSafe claimants in accordance with the relevant scheme rules and guidelines.

8.2 It is your responsibility to ensure that your plan or claim covers the transport service requested. We are not liable for any claim rejection due to ineligibility of a service under your specific plan or funding arrangements.

8.3 We will provide trip records, invoices, and supporting documentation as required by the relevant scheme upon request.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the provision of our services is limited to the fare paid for the specific trip giving rise to the claim.

9.2 We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to missed flights, missed appointments, or loss of business opportunity.

9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, condition, warranty, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

10.1 Our website is provided for general information and booking enquiry purposes. While we make every effort to keep the content accurate and up to date, we make no warranty regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content on the site.

10.2 Indicative fares shown on our website are estimates only. The exact fare will be quoted and confirmed at the time of booking.

10.3 We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites linked from our site.

11. Privacy

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at taxibookmelbourne.com.au/terms-conditions/. Continued use of our services after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
